The first historical records of Château Plain Point date back to the year 1480. Embark on a journey through several centuries of history.
In 2023, Château Plain Point entered a new era with the construction of a custom-designed winery to showcase the terroir.
It is the alchemy between its landscapes, its mosaic of soils, its oceanic climate, and its location at the confluence of two major rivers that creates the unique soul of Château Plain Point wines.
At Château Plain Point, we work like the greatest artisans to delicately and precisely reveal the nuances and subtleties of our terroir.
A residence through the centuries
Built in 1480, the château majestically overlooks the landscape. It has successively served as a wine estate residence, a stage for trials, and a witness to a turbulent history marked by revolutions and renaissances.
It was in the 19th century, under the guidance of Joseph Chaperon, that the estate was reborn. The vineyard was replanted, the buildings restored, and the wines regained their place among the finest tables in France.
Today, Château Plain Point fosters a dialogue between past and present. The château is more than a monument: it is a living memory, where every stone seems to hold a vintage.
The new visual identity of Château Plain Point draws its elegance from the memory of the place.
Its crest, freely inspired by an ancient seal adorning the historic buildings of the estate, embodies the deep connection between heritage and terroir. The flowing lines pay tribute to the unique curves of the hillsides and the proximity of the Isle and Dordogne rivers, which provide the vineyards with an exceptional microclimate. The terracotta red hue and the elongated ‘T’ in our logo evoke, with modernity and respect, the aesthetics of 20th-century labels
